   1. Get outa dodge - sometimes the only way you can actually have a vacation is to literally get away.
   2. At least 3 days
   3. Catch up time with your family.   There is no such thing as quality time - only quantity time.
2. Mental vacation-
   1. Invite another preacher or speaker to come to your church for a couple of Sundays.
   2. Missionaries or retired missionaries
   3. Convention staff
   4. Let your other staff speak
   5. give a young person a chance to grow
3. Do a retreat to regather your thoughts and plan
   1. Find a local camp that will let you stay for free
   2. Go to a bed and breakfast
4. Create a "hard stop" in your ministry between summer and fall activities.
   1. creates a natural break
   2. establishes a new launching point.
