Do people know the story behind the tradition?   A source of conflict when getting rid of them Know tradition form deep emotional ties for people. know those who have no attachment truly have no attachment. The leader has to balance the two sides. emphasize your mission. replacing is easier than eliminating. new traditions need a new story.
