Why do we get into a slump?
  1. You have been in a season of extreme busyness
  2. You've been dealing with conflict in church or at home
  3. Your spiritual life isn't as vibrant
  4. You have or haven't been away from the pulpit for a while
  5. You are neglecting good sermon preparation habits
  6. You are not thinking enough of the congregation (preaching at them)
How do we get out?
  1. Still yourself
  2. Fall in love with the Word of God
  3. PRAY
  4. Take a couple of weeks as a break
  5. Develop your own sermon skills...examine another preacher's methods, read books...
  6. Get input from your congregation
  7. Remember you are the vessel, God is the One at work.
